The Invisible World

TALBOT PLEASE !!! My intention here is to create a gallery impression rather than to write a summary of my work. Therefore, I have selected only those images that I believe best represent my likes and my ability and that will create a favorable (or at least some sort of) impression. Although those of you with dial up speed may find downloading more difficult, I have elected not to use a thumbnail format. My rationale is that the number of works is limited, and I believe thumbnails detract from the impact of the images. I do apologize for any inconvenience this may cause. Images appear with a black, white or simulated photographic mat; or no mat at all and a simple black frame. My intent is to sell my photographs, not my ability to select an appropriate frame - I leave that decision to my customer. Because the world around me offers many different opportunities for expression, my work has evolved into collection of images that fall into five categories: Color, Black & White, Macro, Abstract and Composite. Some of these photographs may be enhanced as my “seeing” expands; or some eliminated to make room for others. The images are printed on Epson Premium Archive Paper with Archival K-3 inks. The mat color will be either black or white depending on the image. The matted images are backed by a floating acid neutral core board and placed into an acid free, resoluble acrylic bag/envelope for protection and handling. Matted images will fit a standard 11" x 14" or 16" x 20" frame that can be purchased at any framing supply or hobby store. The floating core board backing allows you to remount the image, should you choose to change the color, size, or style of the matting. Please understand that what you are purchasing is an artful vision of the world through my eyes and the camera lens. Because monitors can vary in their set-up, please keep in mind that variations between the image you see on your screen and the image you receive may differ slightly. I endeavor to print the images to their optimum color, brightness and contrast so that they provide the best possible presentation. |
